Cheraw SC Bogus 15 cent obsolete currency 1861

Brandywine General Store

$159.99
SKU: SC obsolete #194

An obsolete fifteen cent bogus note issued on the Corporation of Cheraw during the Civil War in 1861 for sale by Brandywine General Store. This counterfeit note has a railroad train the center, arm and hammer on the left and a beehive on the right. A Southern Flag is on the reverse in blue with Now or Never. In the South Carolina reference book on obsolete currency they estimated between 16 to 25 of these change notes still exist. Our estimated grade to be used as a reference only is very fine plus, there are light fold marks on the back that do not show up well in the picture, but still a very nice looking bill. The pictures show the front and back of the actual bogus obsolete note issued on Cheraw South Carolina that is for sale to help you determine the condition before purchasing.
