Gate City is located in the southwest part of the Commonwealth and is the county seat of Scott County. In the Virginia reference book on obsolete money this one dollar currency with the clock is rated on the rarity scale as R-3 meaning it is estimated between 50 - 99 of these bills still exist. The clock is somewhat rarer than the crossed guns and tree vignettes. The serial number is 3487 with plate letter A.
